Compliance

The part of the service you should ask about.

Moving money for other people carries obligations. Here is how we meet them, in plain terms, so you know what to expect before you are asked for anything.

01

Onboarding

We identify every customer before the first transfer: who you are, and for a business, who owns and controls it. Done once, kept current.

02

Customer due diligence

Standard checks for most customers, enhanced checks where the risk is higher, such as a politically exposed person or a higher-risk destination.

03

Sanctions screening

Senders and recipients are screened against sanctions and watchlists before the money moves, not after it has gone.

04

Transaction monitoring

Transfers are reviewed for patterns that do not fit the customer we know, including structuring, unusual corridors and sudden changes in behaviour.

05

Record keeping

Customer records, transaction records and the reasoning behind decisions are kept for the period the law requires and can be produced on request.

06

Audit trail

Who did what, when, and on what basis. An audit is far easier to survive when the answer already exists rather than being reconstructed.

Regulatory filings

Some reports are mandatory and are filed whether or not anything is wrong. Being asked for information does not mean you are suspected of anything.

Threshold reporting

Transactions at or above the reporting thresholds are reported as required, which is why larger amounts involve more questions.

Suspicious transaction reporting

Where there are reasonable grounds to suspect, a report is filed. We are not permitted to tell you that one has been made.

Ongoing review

Risk assessment, policies and training are reviewed on a schedule, not left to drift until something forces the issue.

What we will ask you for

1
Government photo identification

For you, and for anyone instructing transfers on a business account.

2
Proof of address

Recent, and in your name. A phone bill or bank statement usually does it.

3
Source of funds

For larger amounts. Payslip, sale document or account statement.

4
Purpose of the transfer

Family support, tuition, supplier payment. A short answer is enough.

Compliance question before you send?

Ask first. It is quicker than having a transfer paused halfway.
